Win-Win: Less plastic, extended shelf life

Choosing the right packaging can make a great difference for the environment. That is why we have invested in topseal machines, ensuring that we use 15% less plastic when sealing a tray of grapes, compared with traditional packaging. Moreover, grapes in Topseal packaging have a longer shelf life.

Considering the chain from end to end

DSI believes in taking sustainable responsibilities seriously. More specifically, this means that we look at how we can improve the entire chain, from grower to consumer. Experience has shown that this integrated approach is more profitable than just tackling one part of the chain. That is why we have chosen to partner with CO2 Correct, an independent consumer label. Together with individual partners, we are looking at how this consumer label can be properly implemented.
